Our Current State
by Trey
I won’t comment specifically on any bill or anything that was in recent news here, if you’d like to discuss that with me, feel free to email or contact me otherwise to have that discussion.
Our current way of spending at the federal and state level (certainly not all states, though) is not sustainable. We have to get back to government budgets that are reasonable and won’t further the national debt and will start to return it to the black. We really don’t need more programs of entitlement, honestly, I think we could cut back on several. Think about this, our national net worth is right about negative $70T, yes that ‘T’ means trillion everyone. To put that in everyday terms that’s like your house being worth $70,000 and having a mortgage that you owe $140,000 on.
We need to stop thinking the government can fix all our problems and start fixing for ourselves.
These are just my quick thoughts, not feeling well currently and I may expand on this more in a couple days or this week.

Maybe if the government would start trying to get out of debt it wouldn’t be second nature for families to get into debt they honestly can’t pay for. How can people look up to and rely on the government when there is such a large U.S. debt out there?
